Former MLB outfielder Otis Nixon has reportedly been missing since Saturday morning.

According to WSB-TV in Atlanta, police said he had a scheduled tee time at a golf course but never arrived.

Nixon played from 1983 to 1999 for the New York Yankees, Cleveland Indians, Montreal Expos, Atlanta Braves, Boston Red Sox, Texas Rangers, Toronto Blue Jays, Los Angeles Dodgers and Minnesota Twins.

He was best known for his speed, as evidenced by his 620 stolen bases. He notched 72 of those steals in the 1991 regular season as a member of the Braves.

Police in Woodstock, Georgia, say they have located former MLB outfielder Otis Nixon, who was reported missing Saturday.

"Otis Nixon has been located and is safe. We appreciate the assistance from the public and media," the Woodstock Police Department posted in a message on Twitter.

Nixon, 58, was reported missing by his girlfriend Saturday after failing to show up to a golf outing. He had last been seen that morning leaving his home in a 2011 gray Range Rover.

It is unclear what circumstances led to Nixon's two-day disappearance. He has battled well-known issues with drug dependency, which were prevalent throughout his playing career. In 2013, he was arrested on multiple drug charges after being found with a crack pipe and crack cocaine in his car by police.

Maybe he just wanted to get away for awhile?

Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa?

The A's have won eight in a row over the Royals, six of those coming at Kauffman Stadium -- and most of them in romps. Oakland has outscored the Royals 53-15 in the games played in Kansas City.

Pineda/Pinata you never know which one you are going to get. I like the Pineda version.

Severino was pretty filthy tonight.

Hicks hit the ball hard tonight. I think he will be a good Yankee.

Injuries are opportunities for somebody else to carve out a career.

Expectations are high, and that's a great thing. You're fortunate enough to put on the uniform, you better perform. What's wrong with that?

The St. Louis Cardinals announced Hall of Fame outfielder Lou Brock has been diagnosed with multiple myeloma, a form of blood cancer, MLB.com's Jenifer Langosch reported Thursday.

Very fun to watch a huge crowd at Wrigley get disappointed yesterday.
They expect miracles there every game now.
I like how people are going in there and giving them all they can handle.
Tell professionals that one bunch of professionals is better than everyone else, and see what happens.
The Pirates enjoyed ruining the day. That will be everyone's plan going in there, I hope.

Fascinating fact ... 70 years after Jackie Robinson integrated the game, less than 7% of the current players are African -Americans.

And some are ripping on the braves for a new stadium, 20 years after the last new one.

Oddly

Cards 3-8
Jays 2-9

Made changes, apparently not the right ones:

Mariners 3-8
Braves 3-6
