I think suspension during the series goes too far. This isn't the kind of thing that should be punished in a way that could affect the outcome of the series. Holding it until next year was appropriate IMO.

Making fun of race is a worse offense than bumping into an ump or spitting at someone.

It was his own ignorant and stupid act and responsibility for it should be borne by him alone. The team should not be penalized as well.

Thoughts on the Gurriel suspension? I would have suspended him for at least 1 WS game plus 4 or 5 regular season games next year.

They should have suspended him. I get not wanting to penalize the team, but folks need to realize that shit like HURTS the team.

Every other professional team sport suspends players in championship rounds for individual actions. Baseball should be no different.

Look, I don't want to trivialize a racist gesture. If he had stepped on home plate, looked Darvish and made that gesture, I would agree with suspend now. He went into the dugout and after the hoopla died down, sat against the back and made the gesture while talking to a teammate. He obviously thought he was out of sight. Mind you, that doesn't make it any less racist. The idiot tried to do it out of sight. I don't agree that other sports would necessarily suspend a player for that during a championship round.

Torii Hunter was George Springer's favorite player. They like us! They really like us!

Had to call it a night after the Astros blew the 3-run lead in the top of 9, and then went down quietly in the bottom of 9. Pleasantly surprised when I checked my phone this morning.
What a game! What a series!

Although the number of HRs is out of control. At least both teams are playing with the same ball.

Springer did his best Torii Hunter imitation on that unnecessary dive. At least he made up for it (kind of) when he hit a solo HR to start the bottom of that inning.

The Astros might be the cockiest team I've seen in a year.

No surprise at all. Rick Anderson is expected to be named pitching coach at the same time that Vavra is officially announced.

Just totally makes zero sense....why not Douggie or someone like that.....retreaded Gardy instead. Sounds like a new Firestone Tire.

Personally, they are both making me sick with their premature celebrations.

Pederson's watch, was just about as disgusting and cocky as it gets, IMO.

Win 4 games, then celebrate. Hookers, whisky, Jesus...whatever you like.

Your 4th inning run scoring single should not be cause for outrageous celebration.

Maybe I'm too much a Yankee.

Seems to be the way this generation of players behave. No respect for the game. The last 4-5 years it’s gotten out of hand. The Royals behaved similarly their two years.

Both teams are hard to watch IMO, for this stuff.
