Case is the latest in a line of back up QB who the stars align for him and he has that great run. Names like Matt Cassel or Scott Mitchell come to mind. Somebody then pays them to be their starting QB and regrets it. Cousins in my mind is the slam dunk option to pursue. I would actually rather bring back a Sam & Teddy tag team at a lower price then resign Keenum for the salary he will command.

I go for Cousins.

Case showed how a little mobility can help a QB. Teddy has that, Sam doesn't. But I agree......don't sell the farm to give Case a huge contract. I think he has too many flaws despite his very good season. Sam and Teddy will be cheaper than one Case.

I am not totally convince Cousins is a slam dunk. Still seems that for the most part, the elite QB's are drafted and nurtured by the same organization. Cousins is good but as some have noted, Alex Smith's ratings this past season were better than Cousins.

I think the controlled passing game is the best way in the NFL but you have to wing it downfield occasionally to keep defenses honest. One of Teddy's problems and something Case also rarely did successfully.

The Cousins situation in DC was one of the oddest I've ever seen in sports. The fans love him, coach wanted him and yet they refused to sign him long term. They were just hoping he'd eph up so they could get out of jail for not signing him, long term, on the cheap 3 years ago. They keep giving him absurd money waiting and waiting......he finally waited them out. They know they can't pay him 30 mil next year so they were finally cornered.

Believe me, Gruden does not value Smith over Cousins. Cousins is/was his guy. He's just been overridden by a jackass GM. The fans absolutely hate Bruce Allen there. They mock him insistently. Just to show you how badly Allen wanted to be 'right'. He has called him Kurt from day 1 and he still does to this day. You can't tell me a GM, paying a possible franchise QB 20+ million for years, can't get a guys name right for years?

It's Kirk dude. Not Kurt. It's been a game of 'who would give' for years. Just a circus all around.

Congrats to some of the Eagles' fans for keeping up the bad rep, by looting, setting fires and overturning a car in "celebrating."

Which was a td. The guy was running for crying out loud. Why it would even come into question was an indication of why that rule is all messed up.

No they wouldn't have......but the Eagles scoring on the Patriots' defense is not all surprising.....they really weren't that good defensively. Pittsburgh during the regular season when through them like a hot knife through butter.

What was really depressing about the Vikings game was how unprepared their defense, a much better defense than New England's, was for the Eagles offense. And how lackluster their play was.

Gotta Give the Eagles the credit they deserve.

Eagles fans are about as stupid as Red Sox fans.

It was a little different with the Pitt TE versus what Ertz did by a couple steps but pretty dang close.

A great Super Bowl game. One of the best ever! The Vikings would have been destroyed by NE and Brady. NE could have named the score.

My wife found a video of Philly fan eating horse manure on the streets. Apparently, he lost a bet or declared "I will eat horse shit when the Eagles win the SB" and he kept his promise.

I agree Ed. Ertz caught the ball around the five yard line and made two full strides with the ball before going airbone around the two-yard line to cross the goal line in the air. Chris Collinsworth is a complete buffoon and should be fired by NBC for even questioning whether that should be ruled a TD. The NFL does not need idiot announcers confusing the public about rules interpretation.

I doubt Philly will trade him in the off season. The timeline on Wentz's recovery and being ready to start the season will be pretty tight. My guess is that they want that insurance at the beginning of the year.

That was a terrible ruling. Receiver clearly did not have control of the ball when that foot came down out of bounds. If I was a Pats fan, I'd be seething over that one.
