David, I am doing none of those things, but I may influence others to do those very things. Or I encourage someone like you, or someone on this message board to influence another person, and that other person ends up influencing someone to do one of the things you suggested.

We're talking about the Vikes getting Deshaun Watson, and it's off to a good start. Not much opposition, just maybe Bill, who seems to think Cousins has the 'it', and can lead the Vikes to a SB, based on some decent statistics, but ignoring mobility and certain clutch factors.

Pure lie there and you know it.

Hou would be best off dealing with perrenial losers like the Jets. But then again Hou isn't very smart.

I still think its likely Miami makes a deal centered around Tua and a bunch of picks.

If the Niners include a number 2 next year and swap first round selections this year I do it.

Does moving up 2 spots in the 1st round move the needle that much?

Nothing about it on ESPN. Viking Central is probably a bloggish site.

I didn't see it as a lie Bill, I may have been misrepresenting your opinion, which is good. So you also agree that Cousins isn't the ticket, so that is good.

I would keep Kendricks and Hunter. Give them Gladney, keep Dantzler. So give Houston Barr and Gladney.

I think that's a non-starter as an offer, but I give you credit for actually putting something out there.

I'm feeling a little less all in than most. I'd say yes to a 2nd/4th/JG for Cousins. No to pursuing Watson. Yes to JG to NE for a 2nd. Fortify the lines in the draft. Run and play D 2021...though you gotta mix in Mattison more, and then land Teddy Beidgewater in 2022. I feel that would right a lot of things cosmically. Draft well again going into that season and we could really be set.

Miami's got the ammo (the ammo came from Houston).

I love Teddy, but he’s not a franchise QB that gives you a chance every year.

He’s maybe a Brad Johnson that can win you a SB if the planets all align correctly one year.

Get a 2nd and 4th from SF, then trade Garappollio to NE for a 1st.

Then you send 2 1sts, a 2nd this year, and a 2nd next year, plus Gladney and Barr to Houston for Watson.

Why would they want Barr? He’s way overpaid and not good.

You can’t force them to take the players you don’t want to keep...

The change is a QB change in Minnesota, and there can be MANY catalysts.

You like the idea of the Vikes getting Watson, hop aboard the train, and let's work towards getting others and Spielman interested in making it happen.

I think they're also posting some news soon about the Dominion voting machines saying that Kirk is on his way to SF....

Lot's of good info regarding a possible trade of Cousins to the 49ers:

Almost a zero chance we trade Cousins. Unsourced rumors have us in a frenzy.

Also, no matter what you think of Cousins, could you imagine this regime getting QB right?

On the other hand, it tracks that we would trade for a lesser QB, rather than identify, draft and develop one. That's not what we do.

According to the draft trade chart, the value is equivalent to a late third rounder. (ie. Alexander Mattison)

But I guess it would be wise to have plan for QB in place.

Jets have two first round picks this year and next year.

They could give 3 first round picks for Watson and still have a first round pick in 2022.

I don't see any other team in a better situation and if I was Houston that would be my target.

And one of their two first rounders is the #2 overall, adding more to their list of resources. Miami has high picks out the wazoo too.

Those teams can bring the heavy artillery. We bring a butter knife and Barr's contract

Supposedly Houston wants two #1s, two #2s and two young (and obviously very good) defensive players.

Yep got to start somewhere. Sounds like a Hershel Walker Trade.

Except they gave up Hopkins for a lot less.

Saw this posted....pretty much agree. Teams were bidding up on Stafford; why not see how much for Cousins. Use a pick on Lance or Fields and sign/trade for Fitz if needed. Doesn't have to be about Watson although that is the best case scenario.

If the Vikings don’t attempt to trade Kirk Cousins, they’re absolutely crazy. SF, CAR, IND, NYJ, MIA, HOU, WAS (lol)??? Clearly there was a bidding war for Matt Stafford and Cousins is — at minimum — his equal.

Interesting article VRich, and also interesting that 49 fans don't seem to want Cousins.

One fan made a statement that Minnesota finally has stability at the QB spot, why would they want to give that up. It's great that Cousins has stayed healthy, but we want more than just a healthy QB, we want one with upside, that can be clutch, and having some mobility and pocket presence probably also wouldn't hurt.

Actually that isn't the only site. Skor North has taken it farther in speculation (Marty's corner) but many have posted SF interest in Cousins.

Remember that Cousins is a top 10 qb that hasn't been hurt since we traded for him. The one thing that scares me about Watson is that he has been sacked a ton and already missed a season.

I would rather sign Fitz for a year and grab a Fields or Lance and use the capital to improve the team. Depending on the ask for Watson you might not have the capital to build around him w/o trading away Hunter for more draft capital.
