Keep in mind this is Spielman we're talking about.

He simply sux at identifying qb's and G's.

Most teams don't put a ton of capital in OG...we just are putting less than zero most years.

They would still suck at developing QBs, but in the articles linked, they had rumors of the Vikings trading for Watson or Wilson.

While the writers called them minor upgrades at QB, statistically I would agree, but having a QB that is mobile has the potential to be significant in terms of W-L, and advancing in the playoffs.

Vikings need to also get a muzzle in the deal so we don't have to hear Wilson spew clichés non-stop. I like the guy, but if Pete Carroll, Joel Osteen, and a mid-level HR manager had a baby, it would be Russell Wilson.

Interesting idea, but with three late first round picks who do the Texans get to play quarterback this upcoming season? Does a team like Miami say we'll take those three for our high number one?

I went to the draft trade chart and realized that the Seahawks don't have a number one. The points would have been rather close. Miami would have come out with four first round picks in this years draft. That would have been tempting, but it can't happen.

One thing Vikings fans need to get through their heads. Teams are not interested in Cousins.

What if we threw in some portable generators and some water?

Too soon?

I doubt Seattle would be willing to give up a #1 pick in a Watson/Wilson swap. Wilson is a proven better qb and has a SB resume.

I honestly think we can win with what we've got. Just bc Cousins can't elevate a team doesn't mean he can't excell if things are running smoothly. Cousins can sling it. I'd spend 2 of our top 3 commodities on OL. The other being DL...and let's just let all the shit from the past go and just take it.

I honestly believe that Cousins is better than the current Brady. It takes a team to win a championship.

If you could eliminate leadership skills, reading a defense, pocket presence and mental toughness from the equation, I would agree with you.

Bravo. One thoughtful and succinct sentence is all that is needed to blow a wide hole clear through his cherry-picked armada of pro Cousins stats from twitter.

Cousins is better than half the league. But this is a stretch.

And if it takes a team to win a SB, then why didn't Tampa Bay win one last year instead of going 7-9 and not even making the playoffs?

I don't believe that Seattle would give away Wilson. He is one of the top 5 QBs in the League, and possibly the 3rd best behind Rogers and Brady.

Tampa Bay made some nice addtions to their roster including the GOAT, Tom Brady.

Right, Cousins is a solid QB - in the top dozen QBs. I don't think the Vikings could find a better QB under their current salary cap restrictions.

I'm convinced a rookie could hand the ball to Cook or hit JJ off play action a lot MF cheaper

Brady was on a team with a really successful defense and he had better pass blocking. Brady would not have taken the Vikings to the Super Bowl.

Kirk Cousins' passer rating in the last two minutes of a half last season ... 63.7. When it mattered, he wasn't any good. Ranked about 30th among quarterbacks that threw at least 50 passes (+Roethlisberger, 49). Completion percentage dropped to 56.2%. Five TD's and seven interceptions. This is where the rubber meets the road.

Best Rating in Final Two Minutes of Half:

Aaron Rodgers, 134.6
Derek Car, 124.4
Mitch Trubisky, 116.8
Baker Mayfield, 110.4
Drew Brees, 109.8
Josh Allen, 107.3
Russell Wilson, 106.4
Deshaun Watson, 103.5
Patrick Mahomes, 101.1
Matthew Stafford, 100.5

In 2019 ... 73.7 rating. Again, not very good. Somewhere around 23rd in the league.

In 2017 with Case Keenum ... 114.9. Team went 13-3.

Maybe not this year because our defense was decimated, but any other year he probably would have.

I saw a number for how many All Pro offensive linemen the Vikings have had in franchise history. I think it was six. It's not just last year's defense.
