Jeff Gladney....potential idiot. Arrested for 3rd degree felony family violence assault....

And the hits just keep on comin'...

There was a time when the league would try to sweep this under the rug. That ain't going to happen. It makes me wonder why I invest so much in the team as a fan. I was a fan of Gladney and I guess when we are young we make mistakes. I bet it's not the first time he hit the girl. Basically he is not a member of the team anymore, but I suppose his bonus still weighs on the cap. According to this website it looks like the team will get hit with nearly 5.9 million cap hit by releasing. It bleeps on so many levels.

Ed White is 74 today.
I remember him when he won the NFL arm wrestling contest.
Strong man!!!

When Vikings were Vikings.

We could use him and Ron Yary right now!

I was wondering who we traded him for. It was for Ricky Young. I guess if that trade had worked out we wouldn't have traded for Walker. According to a Chargers website, it was the best trade they ever made. So was that the worst trade the Vikings made? No. Of course the Walker trade was. Back to back almost. Yikes.

We traded for Rickey Young in 1978, Walker in 1989. Young's performance in Minnesota had zero bearing on trading for Walker as Young would have been 36 years old at the time of the Walker trade.

This is why I became a Viking fan. We need something to cheer us up, right? I remember when Randy Moss messed with a woman traffic cop and it screwed up the team. This incident revealed today has the potential of screwing up the season. Bleep. Anyway, once again watch this because it's inspirational if you are a long time fan.

No it ain't as those NFL jive turkeys have changed their stance.

But we can't even say "thoughts and prayers" go out to her as that is reserved for victims of mass murder with an automatic rifle of ones choice. There is also this line of thought that everyone deserves a second chance, complex as it is. I think it's a religious thing. So he has that going for him, which is nice.

More importantly, there are cap implications to be discussed if he is released, or apparently even if he is still with the team. Maybe they don't have the cap room to release him! Wouldn't that he a punch in the gut!

First off, she wasn't a traffic cop. Second, eye witnesses said she was smiling when she climbed on the hood.

And why don't you explain how it screwed up the team, because I don't recall that. Feel free to use their 5-11 record the season prior in your response.

They lost the next game like 40-7 or something like that.

We may have just lost Jeff Gladney forever.

Hope what I’m hearing is not true.

Initially it sound worse then Ray Rice.

Let’s hope not.

At this point it is all alleged. She could change her story after cooling off.

Going off the college film, I thought Dantzler had more upside. Gladney's ceiling is probably an average player.

TEXAS

Peterson, D Watson, Gladney. Stay away from Texas players ??

Gladney is accused of hitting the accuser with closed fists, choking her and dragging her by the hair while driving with her outside his vehicle. She also accuses him of “...pulling (her) by her hair trying to hold her still in order to get the Face ID to work.”

The accuser was able to break free and get into a vehicle with unknown passengers.
Detectives documented bruising on her head, ears and torso.
She also reported he has scratches on her face and neck and abrasions on her knees.

But, Incognito, Tyreek Hill and Mixon are playing in the NFL so who knows what will come of this.

In all seriousness I hope he's released within ten seconds after the validity of the charges are confirmed.

Yeah good call Mark, it may have to be Hughes.

He had quite a bit of promise before he didn’t through injury.

Disgusting, and that is ignoring that this is probably a play on words on your part.

It looks like a young woman and a young man (Gladney) are in the midst of a cataclysmic event in their lives, and you're thinking about the impact on the Vikings. Not surprising, but still kind of shocking.

Just another irrational woman who is misunderstanding her man, but will eventually stand by him when she realizes that it was actually her fault? Just like the way things used to be, in the good old days?

WTF???!!!
